Male issued with Community Protection Warning |
||
|
On Friday 22nd May 2026 PS Jennings was on foot patrol when he saw a male loitering on the steps of St John's Church. PS Jennings is aware of the ongoing issues of Anti-Social Behaviour that is being caused by people loitering outside the church to drink alcohol and take drugs. This is having a detrimental effect on the local community and to people using the church. As PS Jennings approached the male to ascertain what he was doing outside the church he could see that the male appeared to be trying to hide something inside his rucksack. The male was initially apprehensive but after being spoken to by PS Jennings he showed what was in his rucksack. This showed that the male had an open can of alcohol. This was the same can as two empty cans that were nearby. The male was informed that due to there being a PSPO in place in Ealing Borough which prevents anyone drinking alcohol in public, and the effect that this behaviour was having on the local community, he was informed that he was going to be issued with a Community Protection Warning to help deter further offences. The male was issued with the Community Protection Warning, made to clear up his mess and removed from the area. He was also informed of the consequences if his behaviour continues in this manner.
